Frustration

Watched All the President's Men last night, and wow. Things have not changed, have only gotten worse in our government. Great film though, with Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, screenplay by William Goldman. It has to be good.

I become more and more stubborn with each passing year. It is crap, but seems helpful in some areas. When Gunnar and I fight, it is not helpful. When I want something film-wise and career-wise, it seems to help. Sometimes.

There is nothing to do at work anymore, and while regular employees of the admissions office (ie full time counselors) seem to be able to get away with IMing or chatting rather than pretending to look busy, I always feel guilty doing so because it doesn't seem to work with tour guides, so can't do that. If my boss isn't there, it is easy, looking for apts in LA, checking my email, doing stuff for my films, etc, but when she is there, we have nowhere to hide so it just doesn't seem to work. I skipped work yesterday (more like didn't go since there really wasn't anything for me to skip) and cut out early today (not really cut out, just because again, THERE IS NOTHING TO DO), which sucks for my hours, but I can better spend my time at my apt with my new computer and the internet guilt-free looking for apts and checking my email, than being at work attempting to look busy or google-ing ways to make our tours better. BAH.

Looking for apts next weekend in LA with TIllie. We are excited and hopeful about places, and we are staying with her aunt and uncle who are wonderful and so helpful in this whole thing. Yippee.
